The Oslo Stock Exchange Board Has Resolved To Impose A Violation Charge On Alcatel STK.

The Stock Exchange Board has resolved to impose a violation charge on Alcatel STK of three times the annual listing fee for a breach by the company of § 5-2 (first paragraph) of the Stock Exchange Regulations. News that the company had received a "Letter of Acceptance" in respect of a large underwater cable contract was published in the company's internal newsletter on 1 October 1999. This information was not distributed through the Stock Exchange information system until 26 October 1999. The Board's decision may be appealed to the Stock Exchange Appeals Committee, and the time limit for any appeal to be submitted is two weeks.
