The Opening Bell Rang For VBT Yazılım At Borsa İstanbul - Ranking “The Biggest 100th IT” Among The List Of The Biggest 500 IT Companies In Turkey, VBT Yazılım Listed In Borsa İstanbul With The Ticker Code VBTYZ Following The Opening Bell Ceremony.

Borsa İstanbul A.Ş. hosted the Opening Bell Ceremony for VBT Yazilim A.Ş., which has been providing value-added solutions in the fields of information technologies, informatics, software, education and consultancy for Turkey's leading public institutions and private sector companies since its establishment in 1993.


The ceremony was organized with the participation of Borsa İstanbul A.Ş. CEO Korkmaz Ergun, VBT Yazılım Chairman of the Board Birol Başaran, VBT Yazılım General Manager Tayfun Yurdagül, VBT Yazılım senior management, Metro Investment and A1 Capital senior management and representatives from the business world on July 12, 2021. Shares were listed in the BIST MAIN with the ticker code VBTYZ. Receiving considerable attention from investors, the nominal value shares of VBT Yazılım A.Ş amounting 8 million TL were offered to the public on July 5-6, 2021 under the co-leadership of Metro Investment and A1 Capital.

Korkmaz Ergun, the CEO of Borsa İstanbul: “Where and how the revenue from the public offering is used is of utmost importance”

Making the opening speech at the initial public offering ceremony of VBT Yazılım, Borsa İstanbul A. Ş. CEO Korkmaz Ergun stated as follows: “VBT Yazilim launched a successful IPO with a public amount of 100 million TL and sales to 49 thousand investors. The fact that a significant portion of the IPO income will be used in the development of R&D activities and growth strategy further increases the importance of this outstanding IPO. As you know, IPO’s are vital as a source of financing. However, where and how the revenue obtained from the IPO, which is a source of financing, is more important. In this respect, VBT Yazılım serves as a model. Our distinguished company, which offers corporate solutions in various fields such as technology, informatics and software that contributes significantly in the development of our country, is now a national value of our people and our country. I extend my thanks to everyone who contributed to VBT Yazılım for this successful public offering.”

“Our aim is to empower the technology sector”

Birol Başaran, the Chairman of the Board of VBT Yazılım noted in the ceremony that the IPO is a historic milestone for VBT Yazılım. Stating that as VBT Yazılım, they aim to represent the technology sector well in Borsa Istanbul with a successful performance, Başaran emphasized that they set out to open up space and empower new technology companies that will be in the capital markets. Başaran underlined that they launched a successful IPO process and further added: “We thank the managers and experts of Borsa İstanbul and the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB) wholeheartedly for guiding and supporting us throughout this process, the management of Metro Investment and A1 Capital who are with us at every step, the professionals, and the audit experts and VBT employees who supported the audits within the company sincerely”.

Tayfun Yurdagül, General Manager of VBT Yazılım contended that “From now on, we will move our company to the next level with the strength given to us by our valuable investors”. Yurdagül further added: “Primarily, we will use a portion of the revenue of the public offering for the acquisition or partnership of one or more companies in the software industry. With the other part, we set out to establish a new R&D center to improve our R&D activities and to open new offices in Turkey and abroad in addition to our offices in Istanbul, Ankara, Adana and London. We will keep working on opening offices abroad, specifically in the big cities where there are universities, and in Europe, the USA and the Middle East”.
