The OM Stockholm Exchange - New President Appointed

On April 1, 1999, Carl Johan Högbom becomes the OM Stockholm Exchange's new president. Mr. Högbom, 41, is currently Executive Vice President of the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The OM Stockholm Stock Exchange encompasses the Stockholm Stock Exchange and the derivatives exchange OM Stockholm. During the first half of 1999, these companies will legally merge to become the OM Stockholm Exchange. Departing President of the Stockholm Stock Exchange Lars Bredin will now undertake special assignments for OM's group management. As an element of the re-organisation of OM's exchange activities, the OM Fixed Income Exchange is created. It comprises the Swedish Bond Exchange Penningmarknadsinformation PmI AB and the OM Stockholm Exchange's fixed-income activities. Simon Nathanson, 38, currently OM Stockholm's President, has been appointed President of the OM Fixed Income Exchange. The decision is conditional on any objections from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.
