The New York Mercantile Exchange Names Five New Vice Presidents

The board of directors of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., recently promoted Patrick Conti to vice president of facilities; Barry Loyal to vice president of human resources; Nancy Minett to vice president of compliance; Brian Regan to vice president and counsel; and Robin Zablow to vice president of corporate governance.

Mr. Conti, who was the director of facilities, has overseen all facilities projects from initial planning through on-site construction and project completion since he joined the Exchange in 1994. He was extensively involved in the New York Mercantile Exchange relocation project during 1996 and 1997 and the recent construction of its back-up trading facility. Prior to joining the Exchange, he worked for the Commodities Exchange Center from 1978 to 1994 as a purchasing agent and then facilities director. He also worked at the Securities Industries Automation Corp. from 1976 to 1978.

Mr. Conti attended Kingsborough Community College. He and his wife, Regina, have three daughters, Lauren, Tricia, and Katie.

Mr. Loyal was hired as associate general counsel in January 1999, after working for the Exchange as a consultant. He assumed the position of director of human resources in December 2001. He also worked at the New York Board of Trade as associate general counsel and worked as an attorney for the Ogden Corp. and the New York State court system.

Mr. Loyal holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and business from St. John's University, and a juris doctor from the New York Law School. He and his wife, Kathryn, two children, Jenna and Jameson.

Ms. Minett, joined the Exchange as associate compliance counsel upon its 1994 merger with the Commodity Exchange, Inc. (COMEX), where she was employed as compliance counsel from August 1989. She was promoted to compliance counsel in November 1998, a position in which she was responsible for prosecution of internal disciplinary matters.

Prior to her position at COMEX, she served as assistant district attorney in Brooklyn for seven years. Ms. Minett holds a bachelor's degree in English from Mount Holyoke College, and a juris doctor from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America. She and her husband, Jeff, have three children, Ryan, Helen, and Margaret.

Mr. Regan joined the Exchange in 1996 as an associate general counsel in the Exchange's office of general counsel and was later promoted to senior associate general counsel. His responsibilities include providing legal support on Commodity Futures Trading Commission regulatory issues and assisting the general counsel in identifying legal risks and formulating solutions to achieve the Exchange's strategic objectives. In addition, he represents the Exchange on the Futures Regulation Committee Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Prior to joining the Exchange, he worked for six years as an attorney advisor at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in Washington, D.C..

Mr. Regan received both his bachelor's and his juris doctor degrees from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the bar in New York, Illinois, and Iowa.

Ms. Zablow joined the Exchange in 1999 as associate general counsel in the legal department. She was appointed to the position of director of the office of corporate governance in September prior to being promoted to vice president of corporate governance.

Prior to joining the Exchange, she was a trial attorney with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, principal law secretary to the Surrogate of New York County, and law clerk to the Honorable Edward K. Korman, chief judge, in the United States District Court, eastern district of New York.

Ms. Zablow received her bachelor's degree from Hunter College and her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. In addition to her law degree, she holds masters and doctoral degrees from Columbia University in the area of ethics. She currently serves on the Second Circuit courts committee of the Federal Bar Council and has been an ethics panelist for several law conferences. Ms. Zablow, who is married to Bruce Zablow, is also the producer and host of "Main Street," an interview program on Cablevision in Westchester County that has taped and aired 95 shows over the past five years.
