TSXV Companies Boost Capital Raising Activity in Q3 2016
TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) saw an uptick in activity overall in the third quarter of 2016, despite a challenging IPO market. This led to a 60% rise in TSXV's market capitalization for the three-month period. Listing activity (excluding IPOs) surged, mainly through reverse takeovers and qualifying transactions. |

Consider the key numbers: Total equity capital raised by TSXV companies in Q3 2016 rose 14% and the number of financings in the quarter climbed 67% compared with Q3 2015.
This translates to a 16% rise in going public activity and a 15% rise in equity capital raised year-over-year for the first nine months of 2016 on TSXV.
