Cleantech Sector Continues to Outperform
|
The S&P/TSX Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Index has continued to be a strong performer in 2016. To the end of August, the index had a 12-month return of over 27% and has outperformed Canada's benchmark index (the S&P/TSX Composite Index ) over the last 1-, 3- and 5-year periods. The cleantech sector on TSX/TSXV includes over 100 companies with an aggregate market value of over $35 billion. These companies include global leaders and emerging companies in renewable energy production, energy efficiency, waste reduction, water management, and other sustainable technologies.
