The 95 new CPCs represent an increase of 157% over 2017, and 48 QTs were completed in 2017, up 26% over 2017. 

$40.8 billion of equity capital was raised on TSX ($34B) and TSXV ($6.8B) in 2018.

A Return to Confidence for the Mining Sector
2018 saw renewed optimism in the mining sector, with new technologies driving increased demand for new minerals and positive economic outlook, despite higher than normal volatility headwinds. 
49% of the mining equity financings globally in 2018 were done on TSX/TSXV, representing 34% of the equity capital raised globally
A Record-Setting Year for Technology and Innovation
The Innovation sector saw a record year in 2018, with $14.7B equity capital raised, up 166% from 2017. 
It will also be remembered in history books as the year recreational cannabis was legalized in Canada. What started as six cannabis issuers on TSXV at the end of 2014 has grown to 45 on TSX/TSXV as at the end of 2018.
