The Forum was attended by many experts from domestic and foreign securities related institutions.
The morning session of the October 26th Meeting included speeches by senior executives of the participating Markets, and the afternoon session comprised presentations by management level delegates and an open forum for questions and answers.
At the end of the Forum, the representatives signed the "Asian New Markets Declaration-Seoul" whereby they agreed to a "united commitment to mutual cooperation in information and human resources, as well as a commitment to meeting global standards and maximizing investor protection."
This Forum played an important role in initiating a mutual cooperation between the Asian New Markets, and marked as the first of a series of future meetings to be held around Asia where important issues and challenges confronting today's Asian New Markets will be discussed. The next Forum will be hosted by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2002.
