Date 12/09/2025

  • This BME sustainability index remains with 48 components after the three new additions and the deletions of Global Dominion, Ence, and Tubacex.

Changes in the composition of the IBEX® ESG. This index, which highlights the most advanced Spanish listed companies in sustainability, will remain with 48 components, after recording three entries (Grupo Catalana Occidente, Grenergy, and HBX Group) and three exits (Global Dominion, Ence and Tubacex). The changes in the composition of the index will take effect from September 22.

The changes apply to both the IBEX® ESG, which selects its components according to certain sustainability criteria and is weighted by capitalization adjusted for free float, and the IBEX® ESG Weighted, composed of the same stocks but with a weighting adjusted to their sustainability rating (ESG Impact Rating). These two IBEX ESG indices are calculated in real-time in three versions: price, with dividends, and with net dividends.

The new composition of the index is formed by: Atresmedia, ACS, Acerinox, Aena, Almirall, Amadeus, Acciona, Acciona Energía, BBVA, Bankinter, CaixaBank, CAF, Cie Automotive, Cellnex, Inmobiliaria Colonial, Ebro Foods, Edreams Odigeo, Enagás, Elecnor, Faes Farma, Fluidra, Ferrovial, Grupo Catalana Occidente, Gestamp, Grenergy, Grifols, HBX Group, Neinor Homes, IAG, Iberdrola, Inditex, Línea Directa, Mapfre, Melia Hotels, Merlin Properties, Pharma Mar, Puig Brands, Redeia, Laboratorios Rovi, Sabadell, Santander, Sacyr, Solaria, Telefónica, Técnicas Reunidas, Unicaja, Vidrala and Viscofan.

Any company that is part of the IBEX 35® or the IBEX® Medium Cap with an ESG rating equal to or greater than C+ (there are 12 levels ranging from A+ to D-) can opt to be part of the indices. Additionally, companies must comply with the United Nations Global Compact Principles, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct, and certain exclusion criteria for business activities critical to sustainability are taken into account. The index review will be conducted annually in September.
