Global Investors’ Week organized by the Israel Securities Authority has kicked off this morning in a special opening bell ceremony at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, attended by Seffy Zinger, Chairperson of the Israel Securities Authority.Marking its 8th year, Global Investors’ Week is part of a worldwide initiative of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). This year, the event shines a spotlight on cultivating the next generation of leaders in Israel’s capital market. Key events will be held by the ISA at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in collaboration with their business schools and student-run capital-market clubs.

This morning’s opening bell ceremony at TASE was attended by students and business school deans, launching a week-long series of activities, including meetups with by experts from the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) and diverse lectures on topics, such as investment for beginners, technological and financial innovation, and fraud protection in capital markets.

The opening bell ceremony was followed by an engaging lecture on Behavioral Economics given by Tamir Mandowsky, author of the bestseller “Lazy Investing”.

Seffy Zinger, Chairperson of the Israel Securities Authority, said: “Investing in the capital market is a vital means of contributing to Israel's economic growth. We view students as pivotal partners in shaping the future of our capital market. Your active engagement, combined with your fresh perspectives—particularly around social and environmental values  - is already driving meaningful changes in financial markets."

Ittai Ben-Zeev, CEO of TASE, said: “Making the capital market accessible to the general public – and especially to the next generation – is a national imperative. A nation’s strength is measured not only by its security but also by the resilience of its economy. Empowering more people with the tools and knowledge to confidently engage in the capital market delivers widespread benefits, enhancing both society and the country as a whole. The capital market is far more than just numbers; it directly drives the growth of public companies, generating employment opportunities, and improving the quality of life for everyone."
