The First Trade Based On Physical Delivery Of Wheat Futures Contracts Began At Borsa İstanbul VIOP

Borsa İstanbul VIOP’s physical delivery based wheat contracts Anatolian Red and Durum Wheat began trading on February 25th, 2016.

The first trade based on physical delivery of Anatolian Red and Durum Wheat futures contacts were done by VIOP member “Ziraat Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş.” and “Halk Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş.” the trades took place on May 2016.

Physical delivery of wheat contracts at VIOP are done by the newly created commodity exchange model called “Electronic Warehouse Receipts” that will be traded through the agreement withBorsaKonya.
