This morning (July 25, 2018), the first International Sports Tech Summit 2018 in Israel, which opened the trading on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). Present at the opening bell ceremony were more than 150 sportsmen and women, startup companies from the sports sector, investors and international representatives of sports groups and associations, as well as participants from the world of sports from 15 nations from around the world.
During the Summit, the Israeli Innovation Center, Colosseum Sports Tech, was officially launched, bringing together Israeli and international startup entrepreneurs from the sports tech sector. The driving force behind the Center is entrepreneur and former Israeli premier soccer league referee Oren Simanian, who has set up numerous innovation projects in Israel in the last decade. The Colosseum Sports Tech will serve as a platform connecting technological entrepreneurs, who are involved in any tier of the sports world – including media, health, data analysis, security, smart stadiums, etc., with major companies, sports organizations and sports teams.
