Total number of trading days in February 2015 amounted to 20 days, with a total value traded of US$ 4,499 million (LE 33,875 million). Value traded of the main market amounted to US$ 4,299 million (LE 32,374 million), of which shares, bonds and funds represented 72.67%, 27.33% and 0%, respectively. Unlisted securities i.e. Over the Counter trading reached US$ 193 million (LE 1,455 million), which represents 4.29% of total value traded for the month. Additionally, Nilex has recorded a trading value of US$ 6 million (LE 46 million) during the month.
This is in comparison to January 2015, when value traded of the main market amounted to US$ 2,698 million (LE 20,211 million), of which shares represented 66.44%, bonds 33.56% and funds 0%. In addition, the OTC trading amounted to US$ 190 million (LE 1,420 million), i.e. 6.56% of total trading (on- and off-exchange trading), which reached US$ 2,891 million (LE 21,656 million). Additionally, Nilex has recorded a trading value of US$ 3 million (LE 24 million) during the month.
Total volume traded of the main market for this month reached 2,589.06 million securities. Meanwhile, the total volume traded of the OTC market has reached 105.31 million securities. Nilex has recorded a trading volume of 29.12 million securities.
During February 2015, 437,488 transactions were concluded with an average of 21,874 trades per day, as opposed to 476,253 transactions were concluded with an average of 26,458 trades per day, during January 2015.
