Mr. Rashid Bin Ali Al Mansoori, CEO of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) will participate in the 56th General Assembly and Annual Meetings of the world federation of exchanges (WFE). The meetings will take place from 2-4 November 2016, in Cartagena, Colombia.
In a statement issued by the WFE , the event, hosted by Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC), will see more than 300 delegates, representing more than 200 global exchange and CCP and CCP instuitions, with a public programme of 16 key note speeches and panel sessions, in addition to member-only sessions for the Working Committee and Board.
There are four key note speeches on day one of the conference: Mauricio Cárdenas, Minister of Finance & Public Credit, Colombia; Arunma Oteh, OON, Treasurer and Vice President of the World Bank; Kay Swinburne, MEP; and Robert Cox, Vice President of Financial Markets at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Panel sessions that day include discussions around Brexit, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and exchange consolidation.
Day two includes key note speeches from Daniel Coleman, CEO, KCG, and Tajinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General, International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), along with panel sessions on CCP resilience & recovery, fixed income, volatility, and exchange linkage models.
QSE has joined WFE in 2013 and has been an active member ever since and QSE has been represented in the Board of Directors from the start since Al-Mansoori was elected a Board Director in 2014 representing MENA, Europe and the Middle East. QSE organized the very successful General Assembly in Doha in 2015.
