The Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) recently began a work programme with the goal of establishing Europe-wide criteria for collective investment schemes wishing to be classified as "euro money market" funds.
Learning the lessons from the financial crisis, the (AMF) has already undertaken work aimed at substantially tightening its own classification criteria for "euro money market" funds. Today, the AMF is publishing the findings of these discussions, which form the basis of the position it will advocate within CESR.
