From December 1st to 2nd, 2018, the 14th China (Shenzhen) International Futures Conference was held in Shenzhen. Its SZSE Session, themed with "Diversified Subjects to Jointly Boost the Opening-up and Development of Options Market", was held on December 2nd. The SZSE Vice President & CEO Wang Hong attended the conference and addressed at the SZSE Session.
During the SZSE Session, experts from financial institutions at home and abroad, including Hong Kong Exchanges, United Bank of Switzerland, Huatai Securities and Everbright Futures, delivered keynote speeches to share the practice experience in and research results of national and international options business and discuss such topics as the investor structure of options market and the trading behaviors of various investors. More than 100 guests from relevant CSRC departments (including CSRC Legal Department, Institution Department and Futures Department), CSDC, China Securities Investor Protection Fund Corporation, China Futures Market Monitoring Center, CMSMC, as well as securities and futures companies participated in the session.
Wang expressed that the sound and benign development of stock options market requires the concerted efforts of diversified participating bodies. Expanding the stock options pilot and enriching the varieties for domestic derivatives trading will be conducive to further stimulating market innovation drive, attracting the introduction of long-term funds, satisfying the needs of risk management and enhancing the international influence and attraction of the SZSE market. Next, SZSE will follow the CSRC deployment to strive for the first ETF options in the SZSE market, gradually build a characteristic SZSE options product system and fully give play to the positive role of derivatives risk management instruments, thus further deepening the reform and opening-up of the multi-tiered capital market.
