“The SET has considered many qualified persons for MAI’s President position and agreed that Mr. Vichate is the best qualified in all aspects, including his over-18 years of extensive, high-caliber experience in the capital market and insightful long-term vision,” Ms. Sopawadee noted.
Having him as the President of the MAI, plus an appointed advisory board, will thus empower the MAI to effectively become a fundraising source for businesses of the new generation entrepreneurs, firms that possess the greatest growth potential,” the CMOC & MAI Chairwoman continued.
Mr. Vichate Tantiwanich, the MAI President-designate, said: “I’m pleased and prepared to do the job. It’ll be very challenging, as, from now on, the MAI will proceed with its well-defined position. It will be a market for emerging companies which possess high growth potential. It’ll also be a market for investors who want to prosper with the companies at their initial stages of development to growth. We will focus on information disclosure and transparency as the principal benefits to the investors.”
”I will quickly and actively work with the MAI’s advisory board, which is made up of proficient, prominent persons. Together we will definitely make the MAI more attractive to investors as well as effectively respond to the needs of the SMEs. We believe that the MAI will be the main source of funds for the new generation entrepreneurs working to develop their businesses. Empowering these entrepreneurial businesses will then positively affect the overall economy as well.”
…../2 His first task will be to join a workshop entitled “5-Year Strategies for Building the Thai Entrepreneur Development Society”. The workshop will include the participation of the new MAI President as well as the SME Bank and the Office for SMEs Promotion, and will be held at the Dusit Resort Hotel, Pattaya in Chonburi Province. The Finance Minister and the Industry Ministry will preside over the workshop on Sunday, October 31.
“The MAI will be presenting our strategies and plans, including our new image and the changes in our market position to help better clarify and differentiate the MAI from other market entities. We all intend to emphasize transparency in all our activities to assure that both entrepreneurs and investors view the MAI as a safe haven for their capital” the MAI President-designate said.
