Thailand Securities Depository Unveiled “TSD Counter Service” To Investors

Ms. Nongram Wongwanich, President of the Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. announced that the TSD will introduce its one-stop “TSD Counter Service” on the first floor of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Building on Rachadapisek Road. The new service, is aimed at making life easier for shareholders and investors by offering a variety of convenient services faster and at a single location. The service is being announced now to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TSD, and will be officially opened on April 29, 2005.

Ms. Nongram said, “The TSD Counter Service will be open daily, Monday through Friday, from 8.00 – 19:00 hours and from 08:00-17:00 hours on Saturdays. The staff will offer an array of services, including securities transfers, depository, and withdrawals as well as alterations of information, such as the names and addresses of shareholders. It will also handle complaints on defected documents, whether they are stock certificates, dividend checks, retrieval of returned stock certificates or dividend checks, re-issuances of checks in cases of defective or lost checks, or checks that need to be re-dated.

“Furthermore, the new service will help shareholders correct names which appear on checks, carry out transfers of dividends to bank accounts by e-Dividend, receive new applications or requests to change details of existing accounts as well as the surrendering of the value of share certificates and the verification of share amounts and details of share certificates”, she reported.

Ms. Nongram went on, “In addition, the TSD Counter Service will handle the payment of training fees for courses offered by the Thailand Securities Institute (TSI). All services required will be available on the first floor of the SET building, so that TSD and SET clients will be provided greater convenience.

She added, “The TSD Counter Service will also help shareholders verify personal data, such as their share ownership. Technology has been fully utilized alongside capable personnel at the TSD Counter Service to help save shareholders’ time.”

The TSD Counter Service is an additional service center for shareholders. The existing service counter on the 4/floor of the SET building will remain open, with extended operating hours until 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

“The TSD is confident that the new TSD Counter Service will receive an overwhelming acceptance by its clients, because it will provide shareholders with greater convenience due to its easily accessible contact location and its expanded service hours. The ease of transport to and from Bangkok’s subway train station near the SET Building makes the new TSD Counter Service even more convenient.
