In this event, investors will be welcomed to invest in any of the 23 available long-term equity funds (LTF) from 18 asset management companies.
Those who invest in an LTF will receive tax privileges, as they will be able to deduct the amount invested in the fund from their personal taxes at the end of the year. The maximum allowed deduction is THB300,000 but must not exceed 15% of the investor’s total annual income. The tax privileges will only be applicable if investors keep their investment units for not less than 5 years.
The “Enjoy Tax Privileges Today with LTFs” seminars will enable investors to learn more about purchasing LTF units at an early stage, so that they will be able to compare policies offered by the various mutual funds while assessing expected returns on investments at all asset management companies to see which exhibit the best capabilities to efficiently manage their funds.
“We anticipate that the event will attract numerous investors, because the tax privileges being offered will directly benefit all income earners. Planning to invest in an LTF during mid-year enables investors to better schedule the timing of their investments and provides them with sufficient time to analyze and compare information from all the funds, instead of rushing to do so at the end of the year. Mr. Adisorn Sermchaiwong, Chairman of the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC), which will act as the representative of the “Let Your Money Work Through Mutual Funds” project, said that the highlight of the event will be the “One-Stop Shop”, where investors will be able to conveniently seek advice and detailed information on LTFs. At the event, investors will be able to access information on each fund’s investment policy; how to save on taxes, and much more from all the participating asset management companies. All this valuable information will be accessible without the trouble of having to travel to each and every AMC individually. Those who decide to invest in any funds during the event will be eligible to receive premiums and promotional offers from many of the participating companies.
