Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. Restructures Itself To Enhance Efficiency To Cope With Market Expansion And Potential New Businesses

Ms. Nongram Wongwanich, President of the Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD) which is a SET subsidiary, revealed that the TSD has restructured its organization to cope with market expansion and new potential arising in the future. The TSD has re-organized its structure into three divisions: 1) Depository & Clearing Division 2) Registration & Services Division and 3) Business Support Division, and has also appointed new executives to oversee each division. The reorganization focuses on providing integrated services and proactive marketing strategies.

"The restructuring will strengthen the TSD by making it more efficient and able to cope confidently with the expansion of the equity market and potential new businesses that may arise in the future. Besides restructuring, the TSD has also reorganized the units under each division to make them more efficient and flexible in coping with new businesses in a timely manner and effectively serve all related parties," Ms. Nongram said.

The Depository & Clearing Division comprises two sub-divisions: The Clearing House and the Depository Center having Ms. Kongkeaw Piamduaytham, Senior Vice President, as its Division Head. While, the Registration & Services Division also comprises two sub-divisions: Back Office Service Bureau and Registration Services having Ms. Chanisa Tongsudjaitham, Senior Vice President, as its Division Head.

Ms. Pannaporn Sapsomboon, Senior Vice President, is the Division Head of the Business Support Division, which comprises three sub-divisions: Business Development, Business Solutions and Information Services. This division has added the Marketing Unit in the Business Development Department to undertake more proactive marketing strategies.

Furthermore, the TSD has appointed Ms. Yupawan Sirichainarumitr to be Vice President of the Business Solutions Department and Mr. Paisan Puratjaroenchai to be Vice President of the Information Services Department.

The new structure and appointment of executives will take effect from July 2003 onwards.
