Date 17/08/2011

The Stock Exchange of Thailand’s (SET) board approves the promotion of skillful and talented executives. This underlines the exchange’s commitment to continuously build its strength and increase its capability to cope with competition in the regional and international stages.

Chanitr Charnchainarong has been promoted to be executive vice president of the SET after working as senior vice president and president of the Market for Alternative Investment (mai). He oversees mai and the Issuer & Listing division for obtaining new listings from both domestic and overseas companies on SET and mai. Meanwhile, Paveena Sriphothong is promoted to be senior vice president and group head of the Issuer & Listing Division. Both persons will help strengthen the division to enhance attractiveness of the Thai exchange.

Yupawan Srichainarumitr has been promoted to be senior vice president and group head of Operations 2. Her long experience in securities registrar and fund services will help boost the market operation division. Thirapun Sanpakit becomes senior vice president and group head of IT operations after dedicating his IT expertise in the exchange and Settrade.com since its early stage of establishment, while Krisada Sektrakul, who has initiated and successfully completed many projects in financial literacy, has been promoted to senior vice president and director of the Market Education Center.

“The promotions show that our executives have the capability and experience to proactively carry out new commitments of the exchange’s core business and also value education as an important foundation to develop the capital market in the long term,” said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.

The four new senior vice presidents had served as department heads in their expertise. All promotions are effective immediately.
