The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announces that the bourse has promoted Kirati Kosicharoen to be senior vice president and group head of technology products, to manage member trading systems department, information services department, and IT products development department, said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.
In his expanded role, Kirati will oversee the technology products group, which is a key service of SET, which will help boost overall trading activities and increase liquidity. The group has been committed to continuously develop more value-added services for members, analysts, investors, and stakeholders to enhance the exchange’s competitiveness.
Technology products group consists of member trading system service department, such as Internet trading solutions and back office systems for securities companies, information services department which offer listed companies data and market data for members, information providers, and investors, through various channels, including SET group’s websites as well as IT products development department. SET’s online trading value has increased and internet trading is becoming more popular among retails investors, especially those who adopted mobile devices as part of their new trading channel. IT products development will be responsible for direct market access and co-location services for members in order to expanding accessibility to SET.
Kirati, earned his MBA degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), joined SET in 2002. He has experience in various areas at SET and its subsidiaries, having managed marketing and business development of Settrade.com Co., Ltd. (www.settrade.com) since its early days, and was a key person in promoting Internet trading in Thailand. He also oversaw equity product development, information services, and international relation department which he collaborated with other stock exchanges in the region. The promotion has been effective from July 1, 2012 onwards.
