Thai Bourse Leads Ten Listed Firms To Join Roadshow In London

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) joins hands with Tisco Securities Co., Ltd., and Deutsche Bank hold “DBTisco Access Thailand 2010,” leading ten listed companies to present information at the event, aiming at attracting more funds to the Thai capital market.

“DBTisco Access Thailand 2010 will be held during July 12-13, in London, United Kingdom. SET will lead ten leading listed companies with good performance, strong foundations, and in the investing public’s eye to give information at the event,” SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.

“This roadshow will provide leading institutional investors in Europe with information about Thailand’s economy, politics, and investment, including information by top executives from the Ministry of Finance. It is a good opportunity for all of us to directly communicate with foreign investors about the strength of Thai listed firms and the country’s readiness to grow when the global economy recovers. We expect that the event will build confidence of investors and attract more funds from overseas to invest on the Thai exchange,” said Mr. Charamporn.

The organizers expect that numerous institutional investors with approximately USD400 billion under management in Asia will participate in the event. The ten listed companies joining the London roadshow are mid-sized to large, with a total market capitalization of THB1.2 trillion, or 19% of total market capitalization (as of June 28, 2010), They are:

  • Financials: Bangkok Bank PCL (BBL), Bank of Ayudhya PCL (BAY), Tisco Financial Group PCL (TISCO)
  • Resources: PTT PCL (PTT), Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL (RATCH), Thai oil PCL (TOP)
  • Services: CP ALL PCL (CPALL)
  • Property & Construction: Central Pattana PCL (CPN)
  • Agro & Food Industry: Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF), Minor International PCL (MINT)
