Thailand’s Market for Alternative Investment (mai) signed today a memorandum of understanding with KGI securities (Thailand) PCL and Country Group Securities PCL to produce investment research on listed small- and medium-sized companies and launch marketing activities, aiming at distributing information of high potential listed companies to investors.
“The memorandum of understanding that mai entered into with these two leading securities houses, which is effective today, is to give investors in-depth, quality information to use for their decision-making and increase the companies’ attractiveness in the eyes of investors. We plan to start with about 20 firms,” revealed mai President Chanitr Charnchainarong.
“The cooperation with mai will help investors in a broader and more varied range of target markets receive quality analysis on about 10 firms. KGI Securities (Thailand) PCL will produce research in both Thai and English versions, helping reach investors throughout ASEAN who have increasing interest in Thailand,” said KGI Securities (Thailand) PCL Managing Director Suchada Sodthibhapkul.
“Producing investment research and launching marketing activities with support from mai will increase investors’ opportunities to acquire quality information for prudent decision-making. Country Group Securities PCL had already produced investment analysis reports on ten to twelve mai-listed companies in both Thai and English, which are mainly distributed to its customers. This cooperation with mai will promote the research to a wider target,” said Country Group Securities PCL Director and Vice Executive Chairperson Surabhon Kwunchaithunya.
In addition, mai plans to issue the next edition of mai Stock Focus in January 2011, to help commemorate the 12th anniversary of mai’s establishment. This book received cooperation from these two leading brokerage firms, which contributed their research output. The mai Stock Focus has been published seven issues since 2004.
