Corporate Social Responsibility Institute (CSRI), under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), has awarded CSRI Recognition 2013 to 40 listed companies for continuously operating their businesses with sustainable social responsibility.
The winners of Most Improved CSR Award, for listed companies having shown outstanding development of their social responsibility, are PTT Exploration and Production pcl (PTTEP), Seafresh Industry pcl (CFRESH), and The Erawan Group pcl (ERW). Winners of the Rising Star Award, given to firms joining the contest for the first time that have exhibited leadership social responsibility, are Delta Electronics (Thailand) pcl (DELTA), Padaeng Industry pcl (PADAENG), QTC Energy pcl (QTC), and Thai Union Frozen Products pcl (TUF).
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said: "CSRI today held the CSRI Recognition 2013 award ceremony for the second year to honor and inspire listed firms which have shown their commitment to consistently running their businesses for society's benefit. We congratulate and recognize all 40 winners of CSRI Recognition 2013 awards, especially, those earning the Most Improved CSR and Rising Star awards.”
CSRI Chairman and Chairman of the CSRI Recognition Award’s panel of distinguished judges, Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi, said that the CSRI was pleased and appreciated to see that all entrants were determined to operate with CSR in all aspects of their planning and operations, as well as management’s roles to drive CSR as companies’ key practice. This focus will eventually result in the sustainable development of the companies and the country’s economy.
The judging process of CSRI Recognition 2013 followed that of SET Awards, which is another key event held by SET. To select winners, judges considered information from surveys, interviews and presentations. Firms receiving CSR Recognition Awards are also eligible for the Best CSR award of the SET Awards.
