The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announces the ongoing event-related changes to the SET50 and SET100 indices that are the result of mergers and acquisitions of two constituents.
Following the merger of PTT Aromatics and Refining plc (PTTAR) and PTT Chemical plc (PTTCH) to become a new company, called PTT Global Chemical plc (PTTGC), PTTGC will be added into the SET50 and SET100 indices, while PTTAR and PTTCH will be deleted from the two indices.
Five securities held in reserve for each index as replacements will fill in the vacancy in the SET50 and SET100 indices.
The above changes will become effective on the date that PTTGC is listed on the main board.
The SET50 and SET100 indices are comprised of the top 50 and 100 listed companies on SET in terms of large market capitalization, high liquidity and compliance with requirements regarding the distribution of shares to minor shareholders.
