Thai Bourse Allows 74 Listed Firms To Delay Q3 Statement Disclosure

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) extends its deadline for the disclosure of financial statement ending September 30, 2011 for listed companies hit by Thailand’s floods.

There are 74 companies firms, accounting for 13 percent of the total 577 listed companies, requesting for late submission of their financial statements. Of the amount, 69 have requested to disclose their financial statements by November 30, rather than the normal deadline of Nov.14, and five companies have asked to delay the disclosure deadline to Dec. 15, 2011, said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.

“The deadline extension is one of relief measures of the exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission also agrees to the postponement. We advise investors to pursue the disclosure of companies’ financial statements through channels, including website, data system of SET, for investment decision,” Charamporn added.
