AlfaSec Advisors is pleased to announce that Terry Gibson has joined the firm as Senior Consultant effective September 25, 2013. Terry will be based in Singapore but will cover the Asia and Middle East regions.

Prior to joining AlfaSec Advisors, Terry held senior positions at both technology and securities infrastructure organisations leading their strategic direction, building sustainable operating models, improving operational efficiency and increasing revenue. Terry has focused on the securities post-trade business and has gained experience in successfully initiating and taking new products to market.
Terry was the Head of Product Management at Fiserv Investment Services before becoming Global Business Head of Trade Processing Solutions.
Prior to Fiserv, Terry was SVP and Head of Product Management at the Singapore Exchange (SGX) driving the strategic roadmap for Singapore Exchange’s post-trade environment. Terry was responsible for the introduction of SGX Prime Pre-Settlement Matching Service where he managed the product requirements, system development, vendor relationships and the customer and regulator engagement. Terry actively participated in the Asia Pacific CSD Group and led the team in 2008/9. Terry also represented Singapore on the Asia Bond Market Initiative Group of Experts (GoE) working group assessing the establishment of a regional settlement infrastructure for the Asian bond markets
Terry worked for DTCC for 10 years, prior to SGX, from the launch of the DTCC London office through to the formation of Omgeo and the establishment of DerivServ (now MarkitServ).
For the last 2 years, Terry was part of the executive leadership team of ISITC Europe to help promote operational efficiency in the global financial industry through education, design, standardisation and communication between industry participants and focus on the issues impacting the industry.
