The Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) and the Israeli Association of Publicly Traded Companies are launching their first ever investor relations course in conjunction with the Israel Investor Relations Forum (IIRF). The course will be under the academic and professional supervision of Rami Rozen, VP Investor Relations at Orbotech, and a member of the IIRF.
The course includes six professional meetings with the goal of providing an understanding of and tools for proper investor relations work, with the aim of devising and executing an effective investor relations strategy in the organization, while acquiring useful, practical skills for working with investors and the capital market. The course is aimed at senior managers with a financial and/or business management background. CEOs, CFOs, VPs of Finance, financial controllers, business development executives and investor relations managers, in private, public and governmental companies.
Ittai Ben-Zeev, CEO of TASE: “The professional and proper management of investor relations is becoming more and more significant component of every public company’s toolbox, and these days it is seen as a ‘must have’ rather than a ‘nice to have.’ Proper conduct in this area promotes transparency and credibility, thereby encouraging trading on the Stock Exchange and contributing both to the market as a whole and to the companies themselves.”
Ilan Flato, CEO of the Association of Publicly Traded Companies: “I see a collaboration between the Association and TASE as the next stage in advancing the public’s knowledge, and in promoting the activities of the publicly traded companies and their relationships with investors. For the first time, the Association is offering training to managers in companies, who are interested in learning more about the meaning of investor relations ahead of fundraising activities.”
Topics covered in the course:
The relationship between the company’s business activities and the way in which the company is perceived in the capital market; all about the Guidance; analyst forecast consensus; devising the company’s story and producing an investor presentation; how to find and recruit new investors; investor relations in fundraising in Israel and abroad; how analysis affects the trading of a stock; investor relations – ESG and corporate responsibility – risks and opportunities; corporate governance in Israel and abroad; the impact of Israeli regulation and the SEC on the company; the MIFID 2 revolution; the decision-making process for institutional investors; the necessary collaboration between IR and PR; issues and challenges in IR work and more.
