The initial public offering of 412 million shares, representing 15% of total equity shares of Kowsar Agricultural Investment Company (KAICO) was conducted virtually at Tehran Stock Exchange on 11 March 2020.
.The IPO ceremony celebrating the 334th company listed on TSE’s market was held in the presence of the newly listed company’s top managers and broadcasted online via TSE’s official channel on https://www.aparat.com.
The total number of 412 million equity shares of Kowsar Agricultural Investment Co. were floated on Tehran Stock Exchange, out of which 330 million shares were offered to the public on 11 March 2020 and 82 million shares will be offered to the Investment Funds on 14 March 2020. After the price discovery carried out through book-building method, the equities were traded at IRR 13,120 per share.
It should be mentioned that around 1,680,000 investors participated in the IPO, each of them could own up to 200 shares at most.
KAICO was initially launched as a private company in 1980s, and is now a major player in Iran’s agricultural, husbandry, fisheries and animal food production sectors.
