Tehran Stock Exchange October Statistics

During twenty one trading days of October, the volume of transactions and turnover registered at 1.9 million and IRR145,378.1 million respectively which showed a decline of 4.83 percent and 3.72 percent respectively compared to September. Meanwhile, the TSE All Share Index (TEPIX) continued to rise and closed at 1834.89 at the end of the month. During the month, shares and right issues of 190 companies were traded in 28,488 instances, showing an increase both in the number of companies subject to trading during the month and trading instances compared with the previous month. (In September 179 names were subject to trading against 26,706 instances). The average value of trading per company stocks during the month was IRR 765.1 million down on the previous month (IRR 892.2 million) by 16.61 percent. The number of purchasers went up by 3.26 percent. The number of purchasers at the end of October was 17,974 compared to 17,409 at the end of September. The market capitalisation at the end of October was IRR 34,935.37 billion showing an increase of 4.70 percent compared with the end of September (IRR 33,368.24 billion).
