Alongside the initiative of International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Tehran Securities Exchange (TSE) rang the opening bell in celebration of the International Investors Week (WIW) for the 7th consecutive year on Monday, 9 October 2023.
In the capital market of Iran, financial literacy, developing and implementing various educational programs for retail investors and taking advantage of the knowledge and experiences of other stock exchanges around the world are of special importance.
With the aim of developing financial literacy and focusing on the topics of investors’ education and protection of their rights in financial markets, and alongside the initiative of International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Tehran Securities Exchange (TSE) rang the opening bell in celebration of the International Investors Week (WIW) for the 7th consecutive year on Monday, 9 October 2023.
Ali Abbas Karimi, TSE’s Development and Strategy Deputy, made an speech in the event and said: in order to increase financial literacy and develop investment culture, Tehran Securities Exchange has taken several measures in 2023, among which the following cases can be mentioned: holding training courses for the general public to get familiar with investment mechanisms in the capital market, holding specialized courses for the market participants at different levels, educating investors in the virtual space through the publication of educational resources like video clips and motion graphics and holding online seminars, conferences and educational programs in cooperation with radio and television of the country.
