TASE Implements “Fast Track” Index Admission For High Value Shares - Shares Of Large Companies Can Join Main Indices Prior To Semi-Annual Updates

Date 26/03/2007

The TASE Board of Directors has decided to admit shares with very high market cap to the main indices by means of a “fast track” similar to what exists today for dually listed shares.

These shares will be included in the main indices prior to the official semi-annual updates, with the next one due in July

This policy will open the fast track for the TA-25, TA-100, Tel-Tec-15, TA-Real Estate-15, and the TA-Financial-15 indices. To qualify for the fast track, shares will have to meet the following conditions:
  • Have a market value greater than 33% of the market value of the smallest share in the index
  • Meet the prerequisites (rate of public holdings and market value of public holdings) of the index in question

The Fast track will become valid after authorization by the Israel Securities Authority.
