The Taiwan Stock Exchange announced that the securities net overbought position by foreign investors was NT$5.74 billion during the week of Nov. 30 ~ Dec. 4, 2009. This represented the difference between NT$98.11 billion securities bought and NT$92.37 billion securities sold.
The accumulated net overbought position by foreign investors, during the period year to Dec. 4, 2009, was NT$393.98 billion. This represented the difference between NT$4,804.18 billion securities bought and NT$4,410.20 billion securities sold.
The market capitalization of the shareholdings of foreign investors was NT$6, 124.93 billion as of Dec. 4, 2009, or 31.52% of the total market capitalization. This is higher (by NT$117.52 billion) than that a week ago.
The 3 securities that reported the highest overbought positions (thousand shares) by foreign investors during the week of Nov. 30 ~ Dec. 4, 2009 were: AU Optronics 97,850, SinoPac Financial Holdings 39,834, United Microelectronics 32,930 respectively.
