Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) reported robust trading growth in the first two months of 2026. Total trading volume reached 71,281,501 contracts, with average daily volume (ADV) leaping 57% year-over-year to 2,160,045 contracts.
The strong performance was driven by active participation from both institutional and retail investors. Single Stock Futures (SSFs) led the growth, with ADV surging 164% YoY to 615 thousand contracts. Amid shifting market narratives, trading interest rotated across different underlyings, sustaining elevated activity levels. The top four SSF contracts—Powerchip Semiconductor (QZF), Macronix (DIF), Innolux (DQF), and Winbond Electronics (FZF)—each recorded an ADV exceeding 30,000 contracts.
