The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) and J.P.Morgan organized the “Investor Relations” 2nd Workshop that took place between 19th and 20th Dec 2011 corresponding to 24th and 25th Muharram 1433 in the Eastern Province (city of Khobar), the workshop was attended by representatives of twenty six of listed companies. The Workshops aimed to raise awareness and enhance listed companies' Investor Relations role with regards to communication with investors, never the less Investor Relations definition, and its importance to companies, its structure, its strategy, objectives and main tasks, as well as investor relations best practices.
Mr.Abdullah Al-Suweilmy, CEO, Tadawul said: “Investor Relations became of the important and noticeable practices in the communication medium between investors and listed companies. Tadawul as it organizes this kind of workshops aims to play a significant role in importing those practises to add value in the Saudi market”.
Tadawul and J.P. Morgan have, previously, organized a workshop that was attended by representatives of forty one of listed companies in the central region (Riyadh) and will organize a similar workshop in the first quarter of 2012 in the western region in order to cover all listed companies.
