TABB Group, the capital markets research and advisory firm, announced it is expanding its footprint in Europe with the addition of Will Rhode, who has joined their London office as a research analyst, reporting to Miranda Mizen, the head of European research.
“A quick starter, Will is set to moderate an industry panel this afternoon on transaction cost analysis at the EMEA Trading Conference organized by FIX Protocol Ltd.,” said Larry Tabb, founder and CEO of TABB Group. “Based in our London office, he’s already deeply involved in interviewing European buy-side traders for a new, in-depth study on European derivatives, the first of its kind in Europe. We’re also looking forward to Will assisting us in expanding our research and advisory services across Europe and Asia.”
Rhode has strong experience across the financial industry, bringing 14 years of experience as a financial journalist specialising in risk management and derivatives, principally for Risk Magazine. Previously, he was editor, Americas for Risk in New York and editor of AsiaRisk in Hong Kong. In addition to his career in financial journalism, Rhode has had three novels published internationally, two by Simon & Schuster, and translated into five languages. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England.
As a contributing analyst at Tabb since 2009, he has co-authored two research reports, “Contracts for Differences: An OTC-to-Exchange Fable,” with Adam Sussman, director of research at TABB, and “Post-MiFID Market Surveillance: New Obligations and Opportunities,” with Mizen, who introduced Rhode through a video, http://digg.com/u1RP0N, posted to TabbFORUM, the capital markets online community. He can also be seen in a brief video news summary, issued today, http://digg.com/u1RP0S, where he and Mizen discuss the proposed CFD Clearing Service by Chi-X Europe and LCH.Clearnet.
