Date 21/04/2011

Further expanding its presence on the ground in Europe, the strategic advisory and research firm TABB Group today announced that Rebecca Healey has joined its London office as a senior analyst.  Healey brings more than 15 years’ experience in electronic trading and sales and Middle East financial services.

Healey has held various positions in sales and trading at Bankers Trust, Goldman Sachs and most recently Credit Suisse, where as vice president she was instrumental in launching the successful Advanced Execution Services (AES) suite of algorithmic trading strategies, tools and analytics for global trading across multi-asset classes from its inception in 2002 until 2008.  Prior to the AES launch, she was the first electronic trader at Credit Suisse to be registered for all electronic European Cash Equity Markets, giving her a detailed understanding of the connectivity product from both buy-side and sell-side perspectives.  While there, she also covered sales trading into Asia and Europe, from 1997 to 2000.

More recently Healey was based in the Middle East from 2008 to 2010, employed by the British Embassy in Bahrain where she successfully launched the UK Government’s Financial Services strategy and set up the Bahrain Financial Services roundtable, which remains a key source of information for the UK Government today, especially in relation to Islamic Finance.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of London majoring in Spanish and Latin American history and politics.

At TABB Group, Healey has combined her experience in electronic trading and the Middle East in a new research report, “Trading in the Middle East: The Road to Mecca.”

“We’re very excited to have Rebecca join us in London, further strengthening our European research team,” said Miranda Mizen, a TABB principal and head of European research.  “She brings a unique blend of expertise and experience in trading cash equities, launching e-trading tools, addressing hedge funds’ needs and understanding the Middle East markets, individually and collectively serving our expanding client base across the world’s financial markets.”
