Sydney Futures Exchange Announcement on GST - Goods and Services Tax

Australian legislation introducing a new tax system and a Goods and Services Tax (GST) will become effective on 1 July 2000. The Exchange has established a project group to manage the introduction of GST across all taxable Exchange products and services supplied or consumed in Australia from 1 July 2000. The application of GST to SFE products and services will be detailed in documentation which will be available via the Sydney Futures Exchange site. A detailed update of our policy will be provided to Exchange Members and will be placed on the SFE website by the end of March 2000.
