SWX: Temenos AG Opens At CHF 23

The shares of Temenos AG were traded today for the first time on the main board of the SWX Swiss Exchange. The offering price was set Monday night at CHF 23. At the start of trading on SWX, the stock stood at CHF 23, representing a total market capitalization for the company of CHF 1'189 million.

According to the offering prospectus, of the 51'710'956 shares registered in the Commercial Register, 12'718'744, or 25% of the company's outstanding stock, were offered to the public. Should the underwriters elect to exercise their green-shoe option, that proportion could rise to 28%. 10'800'000 of the publicly offered shares were part of a capital increase associated with the IPO.

Temenos Headquarters SA is a provider of integrated software solutions for the banking sector. The company develops, markets, implements and supports its enterprise software application, Globus, that has been specially conceived for banks and financial services companies to handle administrative tasks. The clientele of Temenos comprises roughly 250 financial institutions in more than 80 countries - including, among others, Banco Santander, Barclays Bank, Commerzbank, Crédit Lyonnais, Crédit Suisse Private Banking, Deutsche Bank Private Banking and ING.

The company employs 1000 individuals and recorded in 2000 revenues of USD 69.4 million and a net profit of USD 8.7 million.
