Rodolfo Straub, Head of Capital Markets at the Zürcher Kantonalbank, will take over as Head of Admission at the SWX Swiss Exchange in the fourth quarter of 2007. He will succeed Daniel Keist, who will be leaving the company at the end of July 2007. In the person of Rodolfo Straub, SWX will be gaining the services of a proven expert in Swiss capital market matters.
As Head of Capital Markets at ZKB since 1999, Rodolfo Straub has been responsible for consulting and acquiring capital market clients, as well as for handling transaction mandates. He was also the Vice President of the Issuance Committee of Swiss Cantonal Banks and, since 2003, Deputy Director of the central Pfandbrief issuance agency for the Swiss cantonal banks.
Since completing his studies at the University of Zurich School of Law in 1980, Rodolfo Straub has been continuously involved in the financial world. From 1982 to 1999, he was active at UBS in the areas of capital market consultancy, key account management and credit product management on behalf of Swiss companies. During that entire phase, as well as subsequently at ZKB, Rodolfo Straub acquired comprehensive insight into the needs and concerns of Swiss and foreign issuers. In addition, from 1998 through 2006, he gained a keen understanding of political processes in his position as mayor of Oberrieden.
Rodolfo Straub will become a member of the Management Committee at SWX. Heinrich Henckel, CEO of the SWX Swiss Exchange, commented: “Rodolfo Straub will bring an enormous amount of professional knowledge and experience to SWX and is highly familiar with our interfaces. We are pleased that his qualifications and personality have met with such unequivocal recognition: both the recommendation of the Executive Committee of the Admission Board and his election by the SWX Board of Directors were unanimous decisions.“
