SWX Swiss Exchange: Infranor Rejoins The SPI®

Following the correction of the information concerning the holding of a majority shareholder, Infranor SA will be rejoining the SPI® effective October 28, 2002. This is the decision that has been taken by the SWX Swiss Exchange. The independent auditor confirms in its report that the free float included in the index calculation is higher than had been estimated by the SWX Swiss Exchange on the strength of the information supplied to it by Infranor. According to the report in question, the majority shareholder holds a total of 78.8% of the shares of Infranor SA and has held them since May 15, 2001. On the basis of this information, the free float works out at 21.2%, a percentage above the minimum limit of 20%. Since this situation had already existed for some time, Infranor SA is rejoining the SPI® without completing the three-month waiting period normally required for a company to return to the index.
