SWX Swiss Exchange: Esmertec AG (ESMN) Opens At CHF 18.2

Shares in Swiss software developer Esmertec AG were traded in the main segment of the SWX Swiss Exchange for the first time today. The issue price was set yesterday, Wednesday, at CHF 18, and trading on the SWX opened at CHF 18.2. This corresponds to a market capitalisation of CHF 288.8 million.

Esmertec is included in both the SPI® and SPI EXTRA® indices.

According to the listing prospectus, around 34.4% of the 15'867'484 registered shares entered in commercial register are held by a broad shareholder base. The free float would increase to 39.5% were the greenshoe option for a further 815’000 shares be exercised. The 5’000’000 placed shares originate from an IPO-related capital increase.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Esmertec is a global provider of software for mobile telephones and embedded systems. The company supplies high-performance Java-based and customised solutions for mobile and fixed-network telecommunications, home multimedia, machine-to-machine communications and consumer electronics.

Esmertec employs 290 people and generated sales of USD 26.8 million.
