SWX Swiss Exchange: EFG International (EFGN) Opens At CHF 38

Today, the shares of EFG International, a Swiss private-banking company, were traded in the main segment of the SWX Swiss Exchange for the first time. Yesterday, i.e. on Thursday, an issue price of CHF 38 was determined. The opening price on the SWX was also CHF 38. This corresponds to a market capitalisation of CHF 5’574 millions. EFG International belongs not only to the SPI®, but also to the SPI EXTRA®.

According to the listing prospectus, of the 146,670,000 registered shares entered in the Commercial Register, 36,670,000 or 25 % of all outstanding shares were placed with the public. If the option for an additional 5,500,500 shares is chosen (over-allotment option), the free float may rise to 28.8 %.

EFG International is a global private banking group and focuses exclusively on private banking. Its business model centers on Client Relationship Officers (CROs) and Client Service. EFG International has its headquarters in Zurich with operations in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

In 2004, EFG International had 596 employees and generated a turnover of CHF 243 million and a net profit of CHF 43 million.
