SWX: Exclusion Of SAirGroup From All Indices In The SwissIndex Range

In agreement with the Index Commission and pursuant to the Index Rules (section 3.5), the management of SWX Swiss Exchange has decided to exclude SAirGroup registered shares (ISIN: CH0008815067) from all indices in the SwissIndex range (Swiss Market Index, Swiss Performance Index and all related subindices).

This decision ensures ensures the stability and consistency of index data. Owing to current developments, SAirGroup registered shares do not fulfil the criteria for SMI inclusion and will not meet them in the foreseeable future.

The exclusion shall take effect as of 5 October 2001 after the market closes. The market price required for the calculation and adjustment of indices will be the closing price on 5 October 2001, or the last on-exchange traded price respectively.

As a result, the Swiss Market Index, including a maximum of 30 higest-capitalised Swiss stocks, will be made up of 27 constituents as of Monday, 8 October 2001.
