Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen, can conclude that in general there are no legal obstacles to conducting Islamic banking operations in Sweden. However, in accordance with FI’s normal procedures, each application for authorisation to conduct banking operations will be reviewed individually along with the products and services that the bank intends to offer.
