Borsa Istanbul and its subsidiary Clearing House of Turkey (Istanbul Takas ve Saklama Bankası A.S., Takasbank) have finalized the preparations for the establishment of Swap Market. The first announcement on the preparations of the establishment of Swap Market was made on 08/27/2018.
Swap Market is one of Borsa İstanbul’s responsibilities within the framework of financial system architecture on page 22 of the new economic program booklet which was announced by our Minister of Treasury and Finance, Berat Albayrak on 09/20/2018.
In order to promote the development of the Swap Market going live on 10/01/2018, swap transactions that will take place until 03/31/2019 will be exempted from exchange commissions and clearance fees.
We wish that the establishment of the SWAP Market in Borsa İstanbul will be beneficial to the country and the Capital Markets.
