Sverre Lilleng Appointed Head Of The Surveillance Section At Oslo Børs - Sverre Lilleng (47) Has Been Appointed Head Of The Surveillance Section Of Oslo Børs And Joins The Oslo Børs Senior Management Team.

Lilleng is a law graduate of the University of Oslo, and has been head of the Market Surveillance department at Oslo Børs since 1998. Prior to joining Oslo Børs he was Chief Public Prosecutor at Økokrim (the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime), and his previous experience includes working as a police inspector and an assistant judge.

Thomas Borchgrevink (32) succeeds Sverre Lilleng as the head of the Market Surveillance department. Borchgrevink is a MBA graduate of the Bodø Graduate School of Business, and joined Oslo Børs in 1998. He has been involved with market surveillance throughout his career at Oslo Børs, most recently as senior analyst and with responsibility for the role of Oslo Børs as a co-ordinator for market surveillance in the Nordic countries. He worked for Storebrand Bank prior to joining Oslo Børs.

The Surveillance section comprises Market Surveillance and Issuer Surveillance. Market Surveillance works to ensure confidence in the process of price quotation by monitoring and supervising the conduct of players in the market. The department uses a unique surveillance system and has specialised market expertise.

Issuer Surveillance is responsible for monitoring and supervising routine reporting by issuers and their adherence to the duty to disclose information. The department is also responsible for reviewing and checking prospectuses, applications for listing on Oslo Børs, monitoring issuers’ adherence to the principles of corporate governance, checking that issuers publish the accounting information required and other related duties.
