Summary Of FESE Member Exchanges Statistics For The First Half Of 2007

During the month of June 2007, more than 58 million equity trades were done with a value close to 2,126 billion EUR which makes it one of the most active months ever.

During the first half of 2007, the value of equity trading of was close to 11,600 billion EUR, this means a 32.1% increase compare to the same period in 2006. The equity market capitalisation of FESE Member exchanges went up to 12,519 billion EUR, around 24.8% increase over one year.

ETFs trading volumes were at the end of June 52.5% higher than in the same period last year, while Securitised Derivatives were around 31% higher.

Bond trading value slowed down by 0.2%, and is now close to 5,000 billion EUR.

The number of derivative contracts traded has increased by 25.4% for equity derivatives and by 6.3% for bond derivatives in the last year.
