--World Sugar reached a record open interest level of 274,876 futures contracts on February 5, 2003. The previous record was 274,068 contracts set February 4, 2003. The Sugar No. 11 futures and options contracts represent NYBOT's largest market by total trading volume, and represents 112,000 lbs. of raw centrifugal cane sugar from 29 countries throughout the world, including Australia, Brazil, India, and the United States.--Cocoa options set a record of 98,253 contracts on February 5, 2003, replacing the previous record of 97,698 from February 3, 2003. Cocoa futures and options contracts are traded on NYBOT's Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange, Inc. from 8:00 am until 11:50 am (NY Time). The Cocoa futures contract represents 10 metric tons (22,046 pounds) of exchange-certified cocoa.
